How to make ducks produce more eggs in spring

Ducks have two egg production peaks during the year, one is in March-May, and the second is in August-October, in which the peak of egg production in spring is more prominent. Therefore, it is of utmost importance to do a good job in feeding and management of these two periods, especially in spring. First, choose to put the pasture in the early spring before the seedlings turn green, the mother ducks rushed to the pond, river ditch grazing, allowing them to eat fish, shrimp, loach and aquatic life. Once spring plowing is completed, grazing can be done in the green fertilizing field where ploughs are planted. This field has more natural feeds such as grass seeds, grass roots, alfalfa, and insects that can be fed by mother ducks. The rice fields that are planted are not suitable for pasture because they contain fertilizer or pesticides. Second, well-groomed grazing temperature is low in early spring, should be late grazing, early returning to animal husbandry, and extend the grazing time. When grazing, pay attention to the temperature of the water, and run slowly on the water and on the uphill to prevent injury and ducks. In the river network area, rivers are grazing, and it is advisable to go upstream when they are pasturing. At this time, they have enough energy to capture more food. In case of windy weather, grazing should be carried out against the wind and the walking speed of the duck group should be properly controlled to prevent the wind from lifting the duck feathers and cooling the duck body. In the following year, the female ducks are slow to move because of their large size. They do not walk after eating, and tend to accumulate fat and affect egg production. Therefore, they must be controlled to make them as active as possible to increase their exercise capacity. Egg-laying ducks are timid and frightened, and each grazing route should not change too suddenly. Ducks have a stronger libido in the season of egg production, so pay attention to the proportion of males and females in the duck population so as not to disturb the ducks and affect the production of ducks. Third, the timely feed supplements and egg laying season The mother duck has strong egg production. The daily amount of grazing and walking is also large. The large live feed and green feed volume but low nutrient concentration can hardly meet the nutritional needs of laying eggs. Therefore, the feed should be fed on a daily basis according to the number of eggs produced by ducks and the feeding status of ducks. When the temperature is relatively low, grain and other energy feeds should be properly supplemented to enhance the ability of the female duck to withstand the cold.
