The extraction of active ingredients of traditional Chinese medicine is an important unit operation in the production process of traditional Chinese medicine. The characteristics of the process, the choice of process flow and the equipment configuration are directly related to the quantity and quality of the extracted active ingredients, thus further affecting the quality and economic benefits of the products. Therefore, the mechanism of extracting Chinese medicine and optimizing the extraction process parameters have gradually become the focus of Chinese medicine production and research.
What are the methods of extracting equipment from Chinese medicine ?
(1) Reflow method
The reflux method uses a volatile organic solvent such as ethanol to extract the solvent, and the distillate is heated and distilled. The volatile solvent is distilled and then condensed, and returned to the leaching device to continue to participate in the leaching process, and the cycle is continued until the active ingredient is extracted. complete. In essence, reflux is a hot dip method.
(2) seepage method
The medicinal material is pulverized and placed in a special percolating tube or a percolating pot, and the solvent is continuously introduced from above the percolating tank to permeate the medicinal material in the tank to cause solid-liquid mass transfer, thereby leaching the active ingredient. The lower outlet of the tank discharges the leachate. This method is called the percolation method. As the concentration of the leachate increases continuously during the percolation process and the density increases, it gradually moves downward, and the position is replaced by the upper layer solvent or the thinner leachate, which continuously causes a large concentration difference, so that the diffusion energy can proceed well.
(3) Impregnation method
The dipping method belongs to a static extraction method, and is a method of immersing a medicinal material at a normal temperature or under heating conditions to cause the active ingredient contained therein to be leached. The leaching solution obtained by the impregnation method can better maintain the clarification degree at not lower than the immersion temperature; the operation is simple and easy, but the time required is long, the solvent amount is large, the liquid discharge coefficient is high, and the leaching rate of the active ingredient is low.
(4) boiling method
The decoction method is a traditional method in which water is used as an extraction solvent, and the medicinal material is heated and boiled for a certain period of time to obtain a boiled liquid, and repeated several times to extract an active ingredient thereof, which is also called a boiled method or a decoction method.
The Chinese medicine extraction equipment has the advantages of small volume, light weight, controllable extraction temperature and convenient use, and is suitable for extracting and concentrating active ingredients of Chinese herbal medicines and various plants, and can realize solvent recovery and aromatic oil collection. It is especially suitable for the development of new products and small batch production in hospitals, pharmaceutical factories and scientific research units.
