Description
Diflorasone is a topical product that comes in the form of a cream containing diflorasone diacetate. It is used as an anti-inflammatory and anti-itching agent, like other topical corticosters. It is prescribed for psoriasis and atopic dermatitis, among other conditions. With respect to potency, it is regarded as a Class I (of classes I-IV). Usually present in topical cream.




Applications
Diflorasone is used to treat a variety of skin conditions (e.g., eczema, dermatitis, allergies, rash). Diflorasone reduces the swelling, itching and redness that can occur in these types of conditions. This medication is a strong (high-potency) corticoster.



How should this medicine be used?
Diflorasone comes as a cream and an ointment to apply to the skin. It is usually applied to the affected area one to three times a day.
Wash or soak the affected area thoroughly before applying the medicine, unless it irritates your skin. Then apply the ointment or cream sparingly in a thin film and rub it in gently.
If you are using diflorasone on your face, keep it out of your eyes.
If you are using diflorasone on a child's diaper area, do not use tight-fitting diapers or plastic pants. Such use may increase side effects.
